Instant Washing Machine-

Camping is a great source of fun for everyone in the family. Sometimes the weather can turn ugly and make things very messy around the campsite. This is a great idea for washing those mudding clothes in camp.

Bring a 5 gallon bucket and new toilet plunger with you on your camping trip. Add water and soap to the bucket and dump your clothes in. Start plunging! The 5 gallon bucket is also handy for storage and transporting water for your camp bath. H.Vaughn, Cloudcroft, NM.

Homemade Anchor-

How many anchors have you lost while out fishing your favorite honey hole on your annual camping trip? This is a great idea for a homemade tangle-free anchor that is easy to make and should last you a lifetime.

It really depends on the size of your boat as to what diameter of pvc puipe you use. The anchor I have was made using a 4" piece of pvc. Stand the pipe on end and fill with ready-mix concrete. While the concrete is still wet, slide an eye bolt in from the top and let set. That's it! Now you have a tangle free anchor that is perfect for your canoe or small fishing boat. You can make two and use one on each end of the boat to hold you steady on your favorite fishing hole. M.Schrieder, Georgetown, Tx.

This one is for Mom-

Take the hassle out of cooking around the campfire by precooking individual meals before your camping trip. After you prepare the meals at home, freeze each individual meal in a sealed plastic bag and label them so you'll know what each bag is. When you are ready to eat, place the meals in a pot of warm water to defrost and heat them up. Not only will this save time and make dinner prep easier, the frozen meals will help keep other items in the cooler cold. T.Oxley, Spokane, Wa
